SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE TREAMTMENT

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are generally acquired by sexual contact. The organisms that cause STDs may pass from person to person through blood, semen, or vaginal fluids or other bodily fluids.

Some some STIs can also be transmitted nonsexually, such as from mother to infant during pregnancy or childbirth, or through blood transfusions and shared needles.

The Urology Diagnostic Clinic (UDC) in Dubai provides comprehensive STD tests through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique. PCR is a laboratory technique designed to identify small amounts of DNA by a process known as amplification. During PCR amplification, the DNA of interest is copied repeatedly until there is enough of it for analysis and detection. For example, PCR can be used to identify small amounts of DNA from the organisms that cause gonorrhea or chlamydia that are present in a urine sample. Click here to book your appointment now.
